A most unusual miniature, octagonal George lll vinaigrette fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1807. As can be seen from the third image, full hallmaks.

Makers mark, which I have been unable to identify, of IM or WI on both the base and the lid. The other marks on the base are Monarch's head, Lion Passant, Anchor for Birmingham and small case 'j' which I believe relates to 1807.

Over 200 years old!!
The third image shows the item in its 3 pieces. No damage to the main body, just to the hinges. The hinge for grille and base is complete.

Just seems to need a pin. More work is needed on the top to bottom, however, where the right-hand side of the lid hinge is missing.

Should not be too difficult for a skilled silversmith. Measures approx. 2.1cms across and 0.7cms high.
